Time frame: Week 01 – Week 5
Description: Students are to identify and explain a range of selected building materials and interior finishes for interior spaces. The selected interior must contained of particular functions and activities. Students are required to identify, observe and investigate the requirements, technical properties, installation methods, and the suitability of use, according to the function of the spaces. Students will be assessed on research and analytical skill; and the clarity in visual and verbal presentation.

JOURNAL SKETCHES: INTERIOR DETAILING
Time frame: Week 05 – Week 10
Description: To encourage student’s creativity and intelligently Sketch Joints Detailing through analysis and observation with the use of building materials in interior detailing. The objective is to gain knowledge on various building materials and finishes in the role of construction in technology and design. Students require to study on the building joineries and observe the interior detailing by understanding the method components of details are assemble to work. Documented the observation through sketches and compile them as a journal for submission requirement.

ASSIGNMENT 2
FINAL PROJECT INTERIOR DETAILING + SAMPLE BOARD
Time frame: Week 10 – Week 14
Description: Integrated module assignment with Interior Architecture Design project. Objective of this assignment requires an awareness in the physical properties and aesthetic quality of materials. Upon understanding which to apply this skill, into proposing a selection of material and finishes in conjunction with the given project in AIDII. An exposure of material consideration and the richness of beauty and properties that serves the design Purpose, Form & Function to enhance the interior aesthetic within ambience, theme and conceptual schemes. Introduction to detailing, material board and inventory form.
